The excellent cooperation with the Hohenwart lift GmbH & Co KG, as well as numerous volunteers, succeeded in Lavanttaler entrepreneurs Christoph Riegler, Inh Mattos of Sports & Fashion in Bad St. Leonhard an unprecedented project in the Lavant Valley to be on the legs. Namely the establishment of a freestyle snow parks Klippitztörl. After intensive preparation over the last three years, the long-planned project could be implemented at the first time this year Klippitztörl. In the area of Bear Forest - 4-seater chairlift an action-packed freestyle snow park with different equipment, was built for all skill levels. From the "Beginner-Box" to "medium-kicker" everything is there which makes the heart of any snowboarders and freestyle skiers racing. The goal is the park to get it in coming years to maintain and improve.
Riegler Quote: I am an avid extreme sports for years, that problem is to exercise that Lavanttal in infrastructure for extreme and alternative sports still lacks some to various activities to. I am personally committed to improve this in the coming years to provide all so extreme and alternative sports in the regional spatial options for the exercise of their sports. Freestyle is in the future an increasingly important topic. create especially for the youth have to platforms and training opportunities where your creativity energy and act out in various fun sports can, as example. in other states such as Tyrol and Salzburg has been practiced for years.
I think with the Snow Park Klippitztörl we are on the right track, as demonstrated by the fact that we could win some local businesses for supporting this project.
A special thanks to the sponsors Mattos Sports & Fashion, Hohenwart lift GmbH, Stugeba Mobile Room Systems, Baumgartner and joinery Holzleimbau, Restaurant & Bar B-Square and to the company Storaenso and to the many "locals" who have worked for hours without charge for this project and This will hopefully continue to do so.
